Terms & Conditions

1. You must be 18 years old or older to attend.

2. Dates/Times: Saturday, November 2, 2019 and Sunday, November 3, 2019. All attendees must attend both days of the Workshop, all day. Workshop hours will be from 9 am to 6 pm both days. There will be a 1-hour lunch break each day.

3. Travel/Lodging/Meals: Attendees will be solely responsible for travel to-and-from the airport and/or workshop venue, lodging and meals throughout their stay in the Workshop city. There are some restaurants within walking distance of the workshop venue. Snacks and water during the Workshop may be provided.

4. Required Skills: All attendees, regardless of experience, would benefit from building at least one Project Puppet Simple Series Pattern prior to attending the Workshop. Familiarity with the Project Puppet tutorial "Adding Facial Features to Your Puppet Characters" is a plus!

5. Price: Total cost for attending the Workshop is a flat fee of $750 USD due in full at the time of your reservation.

6. Reservations/Refunds: This is a small workshop with limited space, so all reservations are on a "first come, first served" basis. Reservation cut-off is October 19, 2019. There will be no refunds in full or in part for cancellations/no-shows after this date.*

7. Location: The Workshop will be held in downtown Keller, Texas, approximately 25 minutes from DFW airport and about 45 minutes from downtown Dallas.

8. Attire/Setting: We ask all attendees to wear comfortable shoes, but refrain from wearing flip-flops, or open-toed shoes for safety reasons. We will be using hobby knives, straight razor blades, hot glue and some heavier tools throughout the build.

9. Purchase Terms and Indemnity: By purchasing a seat to attend the Workshop, you state that you are willing and able to attend a live, in-person workshop held in Keller, Texas, USA on the above-mentioned dates. Each attendee agrees that they are participating in the Workshop at their own risk and shall not hold liable Project Puppet or any of its staff for any injury that occurs during the Workshop or travel to/from the Workshop, or any hardship that comes from same. Project Puppet sincerely asks that all attendees seriously consider whether or not they are willing and able to attend and participate in the Workshop, and take all precautions deemed necessary for safety purposes during and surrounding the Workshop dates. Further terms and conditions regarding the use of Project Puppet patterns, from copyright to puppet-building safety, are found on this website and are applicable toward the pattern(s) used in the Workshop.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of puppet will I be building?

You will not leave the workshop with a finished a puppet, but you will be completing your own custom puppet pattern.

Can I bring my own character design?

Yes, please do! It's a requirement! Prior to the workshop, you will get one-on-one character design assistance from Project Puppet.

What is the class size?

We like to keep the class size small to ensure each attendee recieves individual instruction. We work with a small staff of 3-4 people.

Is there a recommended lodging list?

What's the weather?

Temperatures are usually in the 60s that time of year, but be sure to check the weather prior to your departure.

I'm traveling with a friend/child/spouse. Can they sit-in on the workshop even if they do not build a puppet?

We're sorry, but non-attendees will not be permitted to observe the Workshop during Workshop hours. They're welcome to join you for lunch or come by afterward to see your work and meet your new friends. No minor children will be permitted at the venue once the Workshop is in session for safety reasons.

What if I've never built a puppet before?

There's still time! We strongly recommend prior "Simple Series" and "Adding Facial Features to Your Puppet Characters" experience as is referenced in our Terms & Conditions.

Is the workshop venue accessible for people with disabilities?

Yes. There are no stairs anywhere on the property and there is parking directly in front of the building. The venue also has wheelchair-accessible restrooms.
