Puppet Supplies and Materials

Some are very hard to find, some are quite expensive, and some can only be bought in bulk quantities. It is our wish to bring as many of these materials as possible to you at affordable prices.

Why "Head Shape"?
| |
The puppet patterns at Project Puppet focus on the puppet's head shape as the fundamental basis of the character. Why? The shape of a character's head is a very effective communicator of the character's personality.
For example, think of a few of your favorite cartoon or puppet characters. Think of the basic head shape each character possesses and how that shape may reflect the character's personality. The more characters you study, the more you will see a general trend. Certain head shapes are used for certain character types. Of course, there are exceptions but in general you'll begin to see a pattern.
It is good to be aware of this now, because choosing a basic head shape and a corresponding pattern is the first step in the creation of your character. Think about your character's personality and decide which head shape best fits that personality. Only then will you know which Project Puppet pattern is right for your character. |
