Build a live-hand monster puppet with The Borsa Puppet Pattern! The finished puppet measures 24 inches (610mm) from the top of the head to the base of the body. This type of live-hand puppet is called a "sack puppet." The puppet's body has little or no understructure and, if turned upside down, largely resembles a sack or bag. (By the way, "borsa" is Italian for "bag" - wink, wink.) Add eyes, a nose, some horns or teeth and create a unique monster character of your very own!

A live-hand puppet typically requires two puppeteers. The main puppeteer controls the puppet's mouth and left hand. A second puppeteer operates the right hand.
