The Rotondo Puppet Pattern
Character: Loveable Leo - This laid back island native is always ready to lend a hand and a smile. He always sees the good in his fellow puppets and lives by his motto, "Just lean on the green."
Technical: Leo was built using the Rotondo Pattern. Extra foam was added to the pattern around Leo's mouth to give him an even more rounded look. Using the Rotondo Head Pattern as a base, we were able to fashion a derivative pattern for the fur that covers much of Leo's head. His hands are custom as well, made from fur instead of reticulated foam. As you can see, very simple variations can make a world of difference in the finished puppet.
