May we introduce you to Big Mouth. Big Mouth is a hilarious character in the Big Magic Book. He is thought to be (by those who have only heard stories) a terribly fearsome creature who lives in the forest and eats whales for breakfast. Upon meeting him in person, however, you will find he is much worse than that…he’s annoying! He talks incessantly! There is never a moment of silence! No wonder folks have been seen running and screaming from the forest after just a brief encounter with Big Mouth. Others have been lulled to sleep by his constant chatter and never were heard from again. Though he’s not as ferocious as some may think, he is definitely a beast to avoid.

Big Mouth was made from the Punto Pattern with some additions. He is covered in antron fleece and fur. His nose is carved foam, covered with several coats of liquid latex.

It’s been a while since the winners of Sock Search - The Glorified Sock Puppet Contest were announced. However, we have just received (via carrier pigeon) the Grand Prize Winner’s video acceptance speech. We have also in our possession an extremely exhausted pigeon.

Project Puppet is happy to announce a new addition to the Simple Series - The Roly! As with all the patterns available at Project Puppet, the Roly highlights the puppet’s head shape as the basis for the puppet character. The Roly’s round head shape is probably the most versatile in its potential for a range of characters. This simple puppet pattern can be completed in a few hours and would make a great afternoon project.
