The Pinhead Puppet Pattern
Character: "This is Xibbit (pronounced zibbit). He is an alien from the planet Zork. He was on a Galaxian cruise. They stopped for a little visit to our lovely planet and he missed his departure, so for the next few light years he is stranded on our planet. He is not too bothered about it. He is very interested in Human culture (though he easily gets the details confused.) His people use their antennae for sending messages (much like we use e-mail or IM). However the distance between him and his people at the moment is too far, but he is optimistic about receiving a 'we are coming for you' message soon. He is a little confused about why he hears a strange human named Ryan Seacrest and the top hits each morning." - Joel
Technical: "I made Xibbit using the Pinhead Pattern with no major structure changes to the head. I added an antennae that has a wire inside so it is pose-able. I also changed the three fingered hand into a two fingered hand. I created my own pattern for the body (both foam and fleece) to give him a little pot belly. The clothes I took off a teddy bear. He is the first puppet I have made using antron fleece, though it wont be my last. I have made about sixteen puppets using mostly fur and other fleece. These patterns are great! Thanks." - Joel
