The Melonhead Puppet Pattern
Character: That character is from a TVP- Telewizja Polska from the children show Alarm Clock the Cat. Withautneck is a monster. He live on the loft overhead the title character Alarm Clock the Cat, with his friend - Chefooncio. Withautneck had a problem with speaking. He lisp, and he have a problem with speaking letter R, so that makes his talk, like a little baby. Cheefooncio try to correct friends vocabulary by making exercise of mouth and tongue.
Withautneck have on stomach a bag, like a kangaroo, which he use to hiding the food, which he found- fly, spiders and scraps. Technical: To make this puppet I used Melonhead Pattern. I only used pattern of head, and some part of body pattern. I reshaped body pattern to make a little belly. Patterns for hand and bag, I made by myself. Inside the head and stomach, I used foam of 1 cm thickness. Inside the hand I used a curl-paper of foam. All things was sewed manually of polar material and felt. The eyes were made of blank disk, using for toys, made for special order.
