Character: Petey Pickpocket turned to crime early in life, when he was caught red handed stealing cookies from his Grandma's cookie jar. Before long, Petey was stealing pennies from his friends' piggybanks, office supplies from his job and candy from various babies. Unfortunately, Petey's not a very good theif. In fact, he'd been caught red handed so many times, his hand is now permanently red!!!
When he was in his late 20's, Petey got arrested for stealing the hearts of millions at a self-help seminar and was placed in a maximum security facility outside of Omaha, Nebraska. Petey spent two and a half years there, learning how to ASK for things before taking them. After months of extensive therapy, Petey saw the error of his ways and decided to turn his life of crime around.
Sadly, Petey was in the process of serving a 50 year sentence. So, he escaped using the nail file his Grandma baked into a cake. Now Petey spends his days dodging the police and making amends to all those he wronged in the past. Technical: I used the pinhead pattern for this puppet, hand-sewing the entire thing! I used anti-pill fleece for the body and his prison garbs are made from of an old t-shirt I had. His teeth are made from foam sheet and his eyes are the pupils of a few googly eyes I bought. His hair is made from feathers.
