The Glorified Sock Puppet Pattern
Character: A harmless fruit bat, Mr. Fuzzy Face spent the first 2 years of his life under the care of Samantha, a ten-year-old girl who liked nothing better than dressing up her pet bat in flowery Sunday bonnets and taking him to tea parties.
Mr. Fuzzy Face became traumatized and soon escaped his loving home, swearing off all things cute and cuddly. He changed his name to Radar, and now lives under a bridge on the edge of town. Every night he wakes up and goes out with only one goal - to prove that bats are NOT cute and DO NOT enjoy tea parties.
While most people today realize that bats are not harmful creatures, Mr. Fuzzy Face, I mean, Radar, does everything in his power to convince people otherwise. He enjoys wearing dark sunglasses and running into street signs (bats are not blind). He enjoys swooping into the giant hair of Texas tourists, (bats don't fly into womens' hair). And he has been known to nibble on a small dog or two, but this is to no avail, Radar is a vegetarian.
