Pattern:
The Melonhead Puppet Pattern
Character: "Ever since Linus and his family moved to Portland, Linus has been rather lonely. He hasn't made many friends yet, so he's been keeping himself busy this summer by building his treehouse, playing marbles and writing stories about a monster family named the Twits. His curiousity and imagination have got him in a little trouble, like when he shot underwear elastic into the neighbor's tree to knock down juicy ripe cherries.
He likes to visit the old man next door who encourages him with his writing and tells him baseball stories." - Pam
Technical: "Linus was made using the Melonhead Pattern. I did the mouthplate similar to the Mostro Pattern by gluing the foam around the perimeter of the mouthplate only and using the center foam scrap to make a handhold for the puppeteer's hand (see photo). I also used the hand from the Forma Series patterns because I like the shape better." - Pam
