The Roly Puppet Pattern
Character: Lazy Daisy grows in our backyard along with the other daisies. He sleeps in until noon, hangs around and yawns for awhile, then lays back fown for a nap. we've tried to tell him that the flowerbed isn't really for sleeping, we're tired of him laying down on the job. Next year we are thinking about planting busy bonnets. Technical: Lazy Daisy was built with the Roly Pattern. The head pattern was divided in two and cut out of two different colors, yellow for the front of the head and green for the back. The petals were cut out of white fleece and sewn double then inserted and sewn into the head parts. The hands were modified to look like leaves. The eyes are white foam balls cut in half and glued on.
