The Glorified Sock Puppet Pattern
Character: Kaal is one of my roommates; he's an exchange student from the Netherlands. When Kaal first moved in we didn't get along; I think it was because he used to drink all of my Kool-Aid without asking. The guy seems to live on blue Kool-Aid and those weird Dutch candies. Kaal is friendly and the girls really take to him; it's probably just his accent. He wears sandals with socks ALL of the time.
Kaal is much smarter than me; he is studying commerce. Once in a while we go out Karaokeing with friends. Even though his English isn't very good, Kaal is always the first one to get up and sing; his version of "Purple Rain" is hilarious. Kaal is athletic, and I think he shaves his legs. We both share an interest in Silver Surfer comic books. When Kaal goes back home I'll miss him.
