The Pinhead Puppet Pattern
Character: Once upon a time on a warm summer Thursday, I was relaxing on Coney Island Beach. I love swimming, and I took a dive in head first only to collide with a mermaid! Feeling a bit embarrassed, we both apologized at the same time and laughed. "So sorry about that! I'm Ariel but call me Ari!" Upon shaking hands and sharing a good laugh, our friendship began.
Ari is an incredibly down to earth mermaid. People usually assume with her punk style that she's the rebellious type, not so. She's strong, friendly, cute, hard working, funny and warmhearted. She's been working as a lifeguard part-time at the beach but holds aspirations on becoming an ambassador representing the Sea King (her dad) and all mermaid kind. Being only 19, she figured working with humans by saving them would begin building stronger human-mermaid relations. She loves Coney Island and has NEVER missed a Mermaid Parade since the first time she emerged from the sea back when she was just 15.
Technical: Ariel was one of the top ten finalists and the First Runner-Up in the Once Upon A Puppet Contest held in 2007 right here at Project Puppet.
